I am delighted to be able to introduce a new, re-designed, user-friendly, blogsite!
For a long time now, since very soon after I started posting blogs, I have been dissatisfied with the site as a whole. The daily posts would appear, but if one wanted to search through for old posts, there was only one way to do it, to go back through the historical posts by date. And if you had only a hazy idea as to when it had been posted, it was all the harder. But last year, we engaged the services of Arun Sengupta, a web designer based in Lucknow, and he has done the most amazing job of reconfiguring it all.
The most recent posts are still easily available, but it is now possible to search through the three major categories: teaching in the various locations; the theatre productions which spring from that: and observations on travel and life in the various locations. What is more, each individual category (eg a particular theatre production, life in a particular place), will appear in the order they were written, from beginning to end (rather tyhan having to work yur way backwards through time!)
We also hope we have solved the ongoing problem that people have had in posting a comment, which has been, I know, most frustrating.
We think Arun has done a great job. But the proof of the pudding is in the eating! Do let us know if there are any ongoing problems, so that we can resolve them. And enjoy!
